Professor Jin Heon Seo (서진헌 교수)

Prof. Jin Heon Seo received the B.S. and the M.S. degrees in Electrical Engineering from Seoul National University, in 1978 and 1980, and the Ph.D. degree in Electrical Engineering from University of California, Los Angeles, in 1985. He served as an Assistant Professor from 1985 to 1989 in the Department of Electrical Engineering at Texas Tech University, Lubbock. Since 1989, he has been with the School of Electrical Engineering at Seoul National University, Seoul, Korea, where he is currently a Professor. His research interests include nonlinear systems theory, large scale systems control and infinite dimensional system theory.

Hyungbo Shim received the B.S., M.S., and Ph.D. degrees from Seoul National University, Korea, and held the post-doc position at University of California, Santa Barbara till 2001. He joined Hanyang University, Seoul, Korea, in 2002. Since 2003, he has been with Seoul National University, Korea. He served as associate editor for Automatica, IEEE Trans. on Automatic Control, Int. Journal of Robust and Nonlinear Control, and European Journal of Control, and as editor for Int. Journal of Control, Automation, and Systems. He was the Program Chair of ICCAS 2014 and Vice-program Chair of IFAC World Congress 2008. He was a guest professor at Keio University, Japan, in 2016, and he is now the director of Engineering Research Center for Advanced Control & Instrumentation, Korea. He received Young Researcher Award and Scientific Award from ICROS in 2009 and 2012, respectively. His research interest includes stability analysis of nonlinear systems, observer design, disturbance observer technique, secure control systems, and synchronization. Taekyoo Kim is currently a Ph.D. student in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at the Seoul National University, Korea. He received the B.S., M.S. degrees in the School of Electrical and Electronics Engineering from Seoul National University, Seoul, Korea in 2007 and 2009, respectively. Before his Ph.D. studies, he was a researcher in the Department of Underwater Weapon Systems at Agency for Defense Development, Korea.

Seungjoon Lee received his B.S. degree in Engineering Science from University of Toronto in 2014. Since 2014, he has been at Seoul National University, where he is currently a ph.D. candidate. His research interests lies in synchronization of multi-agent system including synchronization over dynamic edges and consensus over multilayer system. He is also interested in potential application of synchronization theories to distributed optimization.
