Lab members presented five papers at the flagship conference of Control Systems Society of IEEE, the 58th Conference on Decision and Control, which was held on December 11~13, 2019, in Nice, France.
As the number of students in CDSL has increased, the results of the research have been published in various fields (learning-based control systems, multi-agent systems, cyber-physical systems, encrypted control systems).
The distinctive point is that the result [1] related to reinforcement learning(RL) came out for the first time in CDSL. The study focuses on the auxiliary role of DOB for simulations-trained controllers to work well with real systems. In CDC 2019, thanks to the advent of AlphaGo, many results have been presented in areas related to learning. Also, many sessions appeared and they attracted a large audience.
Meanwhile, CDSL has been invited to a session of the encrypted control systems every year. The subject has only recently begun to emerge. Junsoo Kim presented his research on encrypted state estimation in networked control systems during the session.
In addition to the above topics, various research results were presented. One result [4] deals with the generalized holder that has been spotlighted as being able to change the zero of the system, and another [5] proposes an algorithm that allocates optimal coordination in a distributed power network.
