

Professor Hyungbo Shim of the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at Seoul National University has been elevated to IEEE Fellow, Class of 2026, by the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE).
The IEEE Fellow grade is the highest level of membership, reserved for fewer than 0.1% of voting members who have demonstrated extraordinary accomplishments in engineering and technology. The grade of Fellow recognizes unusual distinction in the profession and is reserved for a person with an outstanding record of accomplishments in any of the IEEE fields of interest. The accomplishments that are being honored have contributed importantly to the advancement or application of engineering, science and technology, bringing the realization of significant value to society at large.
This prestigious recognition is bestowed upon Prof. Shim for his “contributions to control theory on multi-agent systems and disturbance observers.”
With Professor Hyungbo Shim, CDSL will continue to advance the frontiers of control theory, including multi-agent systems, disturbance observers, and beyond.
